My goal in this post is to share this piece of art and writing that I did. I want to introduce it and share how and why I created it. I found a new hobby I love, it is called reverse coloring.

It’s similar to a coloring book but instead of coloring, it is blobs and shapes of colors with no lines of any kind. Your role is to put in the lines, and I like it because I love to doodle. An alternative name could be doodling book.

Doodling is good practice for me to get into flow state and to get out of my head and just create. Flow is a good place for creating art or anything because it is a state of mind that is open and allowing. For me when I am in flow that’s when my art really starts getting interesting and surprising.

When reverse coloring, I really like the whimsical and playful look of my doodles and sometimes I would be inspired to write words and sentiments on the page. It is never something I plan they just flow out of me. The sentiments feel transcendent and inspired, written by my higher consciousness. They are full of peace, love, playfulness and creativity and these are just doodles.

I love poetic, inspiring and uplifting words with beautiful and playful pieces of art. I even like to make words apart of the art. Below are a sample of sketches that have done over the years before discovering reverse coloring.

After spending some time reverse coloring I was inspired to try to make my own paintings to doodle on. When I am inspired creatively, I want to be part of the whole process. I love the whimsical and playfulness of doodles. One thing let to another and as it goes, I got an even better idea, to try to doodle over some of my finished paintings.

My paintings are definitely made in the flow state. I call my painting method – intuitive painting.  I let the painting unfold itself, following my intuition on what colors to start with, and where to put the paint, shapes and images start to form as I paint, the art always turns out, it is often a very moving and healing experience for me. Once again, in this flow state as the painting emerges, I get unwavering and profound feelings of unconditional love, peace, and forgiveness that feels transcendent and divine. My paintings are largely abstract and have a mystery to them that even baffles me sometimes.

I want to see what words would be inspired by my own artwork. I took some pictures of my artwork and got them printed. I was mostly playing, I don’t think they are finished and final works by any means, but I do love what came out.

I believe in the transcendent. I believe this world is not as it seems and there is more going on that meets the eye. I believe the world is conscious and benevolent. I believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I believe that life is about learning and growing and creating. I believe that part of this life experience is forgetting who we truly are, our true origins, which is unconditional love, and that life is always pushing us through experiences that will help us grow, learn new perspectives and awaken us to our unlimited nature. We can tap into this nature when we find ways to get into flow state. This is true surrendering.

The last couple of years of my life I have been feeling a real push to surrender and accept that I am an artist, and I am meant to share my art. I always thought surrendering was giving up or being obedient to some authority, but I now have a new perspective.

True surrendering is living in flow state, it’s relaxing into unconditional love, it is trusting the unfolding of the process of life, and it is accepting myself exactly as I am no matter how I feeling and going from there. It’s learning to extend unconditional love and compassion to myself no matter where I am or how I am feeling and it’s learning to go with the flow.  It’s learning to let my inner artist lead, and she is pure flow.

Wow, once I start writing, I can’t stop. Below are a few pieces of artwork or playwork that made while trying out doodling on top of my artwork.  The original unaltered pieces can be found in my art gallery.

 Some inspired writing from this piece;

Life is a doodle , a mix media art project, everything is material - experiences , past artworks, mistakes, things you like, things you don't. You just need to let yourself play and you will make stuff, making mistakes or things you don't like, is the process for figuring what you do like. Some people will resonate with your art and some people won't. Some people will think you are a fake and some will think you are not worthy enough to be considered art but that is just their opinion. Some people have bad taste in art. Some people are narrow minded on what can be considered art. Some people think art is a thing, a product and not also a process which some you find in the middle of creation. You dear one, creator and reader are art in process.
